Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 death toll in Odisha rose to 169 on Thursday with 10 more succumbing to the virus infection in last 24 hours.
Ganjam reported 4 deaths followed by Bhubaneswar (2), Rayagada (1), Sundargarh (1), Sambalpur (1) and Nayagarh (1).

- A 67-year old male from Sambalpur district who was also suffering from hypertension.
- A 60-year old female from Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from diabetes.
- A 43-year old male from Ganjam district.
- A 47-year old male from Ganjam district.
- A 65-year old male from Nayagarh district who was also suffering from chronic kidney disease with Uremic Encephalopathy.
- A 33-year old male from Ganjam district.
- A 65-year old female from Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes, hypertension and hypothyroidism.
- A 71-year old male from Sundargarh district who was also suffering from diabetes.
- A 60-year old male from Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
- A-50 year old male from Rayagada district who was also suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
With the 10 new deaths, the virus has so far claimed 90 lives in Ganjam, 21 in Khurda, 11 in Cuttack, nine in Gajapati, seven each in Sundargarh and Rayagada, three each in Puri and Balasore, two each in Kandhamal, Kendrapada, Malkangiri, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh and Angul and one each in Bargarh, Jajpur, Jhasuguda and Sambalpur.
