Bhubaneswar: Odisha government in collaboration with UNICEF launched ‘Sampark’, a state helpdesk for children.
Women and Child Development Minister Tukuni Sahu launched the help desk which aims at providing psychological support to children during COVID-19.
Speaking on the occasion, Sahu enumerated various issues surrounding children with the advent of the pandemic, and the role the help desk shall play in aiding the various policies launched by the Government and the Department of Women and Child Development in the best interest of the children.
Sahur further said this decision comes with the hope to strengthen Childline services with the coordination of various departments, including the departments School & Mass Education, Health. and shall boost follow-up mechanism at the state and district level.
She envisioned that a joint effort by all the departments along with the help desk ‘Sampark’ can lead to the success of the Ashirbaad scheme to ensure the future of our children is protected, their minds are strengthened which shall make them capable to face the world in the future.
