Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded 97 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the I&PR Department informed on Friday.
This figure is 10 more than the 87 new cases reported on Thursday.
Of the new cases detected in 21 districts, 58 are from quarantine and 39 are local contacts.
Sundargarh reported the highest of 16 cases, followed by Cuttack (16), Bargarh (12), six each in Jajpur and Khurda, Angul (5), four each in Jharsuguda, Mayurbhanj and Rayagada, three each in Deogarh, Gajapati, and Puri, two each in Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Balasore and Nuapada, one each in Balangir, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, and Kendrapada.
Besides, the state pool has one case.
At present, Odisha has 894 active cases while 3,32,611 patients have recovered.
