Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded 79 new COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours, the I&PR Department informed on Monday.
Of the new cases detected in 19 districts, 47 are from quarantine and 32 are local contacts.
Khurda reported the highest of 14 cases, followed by Sundargarh (10), Balasore (7), Bargarh (5), four each in Angul, Cuttack, Jajpur, Puri, Sambalpur and Sonepur, three each in Jharsuguda and Nuapada, two each in Mayurbhanj, Balangir, and Gajaapti, one each in Boudh, Kalahandi, Kendrapada and Rayagada.
Besides, the state pool has three cases.
At present, Odisha has 1,089 active cases while 3, 32, 103 patients have recovered.
