Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 death toll in Odisha rose to 140 on Sunday with 10 more succumbing to the virus infection in the last 24 hours. This is the second consecutive day Odisha recorded 10 deaths in 24 hours.
The deceased are from Ganjam (6), Gajapati (1), Khurda (1), Sundargarh (1) and Bhubaneswar (1).
Details:
- A 63-year old male from Gajapati district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
- A 63-year old male from Ganjam district.
- A 55-year old male from Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
- A 60-year old male from Ganjam district.
- A 64-year old male from Ganjam district who was also suffering from chronic kidney disease.
- A 60-year old male from Ganjam district.
- A 35-year old male from Khurda district.
- A 51-year old female from Ganjam district.
- A 69-year old male from Sundargarh district who was also suffering from hypertension.
- A 58-year old female from Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, right pneumothorax and obesity.
They succumbed while undergoing treatment, the Health Department sources said.
With the 10 new deaths, the virus has so far claimed 79 lives from Ganjam, 17 from Khurda, nine from Cuttack, eight from Gajapati, five from Sundargarh, four from Rayagada, two each from Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Angul, Balasore, and one each from Bhubaneswar, Bargarh, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Jhasuguda and Nayagarh.
