Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a record high COVID-19 cases with 12,523 testing positive in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 6,68,422.
Out of the new cases found from all 30 districts, 7012 are from quarantine while 5511 are local contact cases. The number of active cases surged to 1,09,438 in Odisha.
Khurda district reported the highest 1842 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (1084) and Angul (930). The state conducted 61,665 tests on Thursday, the highest in the second wave of the pandemic.
