Bhadrak: The district administration on Wednesday shut Ekata Market and the other market near the local court under Bhadrak Municipality for 72 hours after a trader tested positive for COVID-19.
Collector Gyana Ranjan Das informed that the shutdown will remain in force from 5 am on Wednesday till 5 am on Saturday.
Stating that the administration has asked people to remain at home, Das said there will be no movement of public and private vehicles except for those used in the transportation of essential goods.
Barring medicine shops, milk booths and health facilities, all government and private offices, business and trading establishments will remain closed, he added.
