Berhampur: Ganjam district administration is all set to launch an oxygen checking campaign from September 8 to 14 in order to ensure early detection of COVID-19 cases.
According to official sources, special care will be given to the people with comorbid conditions, senior citizens and pregnant women during the campaign. Necessary logistical arrangements have been put in place for shifting the patients to DCH as per medical advice.
Ganjam district stood at 7th place with 108 new positive cases on a single day on September 5. The total number of active cases has reached 918.
While 17,522 patients have recovered from the COVID-19 at 93.9% recovery rate, 204 have succumbed to the disease. The number of total samples collected in the district has reached 3,02,434, the sources said.
