Jagatsinghpur: The number of COVID-19 cases in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district went up to 130 on Wednesday with 33 more persons testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Talking to the media here, Jagatsinghpur Collector Sangram Keshari Mahapatra said 8 among them are from Jagatsinghpur, 3 from Kujang, 18 from Naugan, and 2 each from Raghunathpur and Tirtol blocks.
Stating that the 33 patients kept in the temporary medical centre (TMC) are asymptomatic, he said arrangements are being made to shift them to the COVID hospital in Paradip and KIMS COVID Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
The collector further said 62 patients have been cured of the infection so far. The district now has 68 active cases, he added.
