Bhubaneswar: With daily COVID-19 positive cases coming down, the number of recovered patients is also on downslide in the state. As many as 1264 patients recovered from the disease and were discharged from hospitals on Thursday.
While the state reported 1340 recoveries on Wednesday, the figure was 1448 on Tuesday and 1521 on Monday.
Of the day’s recoveries, 161 are from Khurda, 110 from Angul, 79 from Sundargarh, 76 from Balasore, 76 from Balangir, 74 each from Cuttack and Keonjhar, 65 from Mayurbhanj, 61 from Nuapada, 59 from Jagatsinghpur and 57 from Bargarh districts.
Similarly, 44 patients recovered in Kendrapada, 43 in Puri, 38 in Dhenkanal, 30 in Sambalpur, 28 in Jajapur, 25 in Kalahandi, 22 in Ganjam, 20 each in Bhadrak and Koraput, 18 in Nabarangpur, 13 in Kandhamal, 12 in Jharsuguda, 11 in Rayagada, 9 each in Deogarh and Nayagarh, 8 in Sonepur, 6 in Malkangiri, 3 in Gajapati and 2 in Boudh. Besides there were 11 recoveries from State Pool.
The total recovered cases in Odisha now stand at 2,93,741 while the affected tally went up to 3,05,986 with 986 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, according to Health and Family Welfare department.
