Sundargarh: The district administration has imposed certain restrictions in the areas under Sundargarh and Rajgangpur municipalities from August 16 to 31 in order to contain the spread of coronavirus.
In an official order, district collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan said the step has been taken as an ‘urgent preventive measure’ in view of the much-needed containment of the disease.
As per the order, shops, markets, roadside stalls and business centres are allowed to operate from 6 am to 2 pm. The assembly of people is not allowed after 2 pm.
However, the restriction will not be applicable to medical institutions and accessory services, emergency services, district and municipal administration, police and fire services, Central and state PSUs, telecom and electricity supply.
Movement of vehicles on highways is also allowed while dhabas along highways and major roads can operate for takeaways.
Marriages and funeral functions can be held as per the norms and with official permission.
