Bhubaneswar: Following a spike in COVID-19 cases in Odisha capital, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday banned the entry of public into its office as a precautionary measure.
“Social distancing and wearing of masks will be enforced more strictly from today,” informed BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary.
The number of COVID-19 cases in Bhubaneswar touched 314 on Monday after 25 more people tested positive for the virus.

The civic body has also issued fresh guidelines to private hospitals to check further spread of the virus in the city slums, which have so far seen 37 corona positive cases.
