Bhubaneswar: After Malkangiri, the Nabarangpur administration has also decided to impose night curfew in the district to contain COVID-19 spread amid a surge in cases in Odisha.
Collector Ajit Kumar said that the movement of individuals will strictly be prohibited between 8 pm and 6 am from Thursday till further orders.
THE RESTRICTIONS
>> No gathering of more than five persons will be allowed at any public or private places except at home and its premises.
>> Non-essential gatherings and assemblies such as seminars, workshops, and conferences should be cancelled.
>> Social gatherings and assemblies like religious functions, marriage receptions, parties will not be permitted during these hours.
>> No wedding processions/opera shows should be organised.
>> No political rally/gathering for agitation should be conducted.
>> Kalyan Mandaps will not be permitted for functions.
Those with signs and symptoms like cough, fever or difficulty in breathing have been asked to call the district helpline no. 06858-222459 or mobile no. 9439988787, 9439988468 or District COVID Control Room no. 06858-222434.
The hotel owners, where people from other districts stay regularly, have been directed to take all precautionary measures and keep isolation rooms ready.

Nabarangpur has reported 10 COVID-19 cases in the last one month.
In view of Bada Jatra, night curfew was earlier imposed in Malkangiri district from March 23. It will be in force till March 31.
