Cuttack: The DCP office in the city will remain out of bounds for the public for the next seven days.
Cuttack DCP Prateek Singh on Tuesday informed that the decision was taken after some staff tested positive for COVID-19. “DCP office is not closed entirely. Essential sections are working. The sections which have reported COVID-19 outbreak are shut for 72 hours,” he added.
If sources are to be believed a total of 15 staff of the DCP office have been infected.
Cuttack has witnessed a surge in COVID-19 in the last few weeks with the affected tally nearing 5000-mark.
