Bhubaneswar: In view of the rising COVID-19 cases, the Odisha Government on Tuesday directed all construction works across the state to be halted immediately.
However, construction work for healthcare facilities for COVID-19 cases will continue as usual.
As the deadly virus is spreading fast, the state government is scheduled to impose a complete lockdown in all districts from midnight of March 24.
Earlier, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had announced a week-long lockdown in five districts and eight towns starting March 22.
