Bhubaneswar: In an appeal to people not to panic regarding rising COVID-19 cases, the Odisha government on Saturday said the infection rate would start climbing down by second week of May.
Speaking to mediapersons, Director of Medical Education and Training (DMET) Dr CBK Mohanty said going by the present trend, the number of daily positive cases will start declining by mid-May.
Stating that the situation in Odisha is better than other states, Dr Mohanty there is no case of the triple mutant variant of the virus has surfaced in the state yet.
