COVID-19: Spain Death Toll Crosses 9,000
As many as 864 deaths on Wednesday took Spain’s coronavirus toll past 9,000, while the number of confirmed cases has crossed the 100,000-mark, the Spanish government has said.
According to Spain’s health ministry figures, the rate of new infections continued to go down, but the country also registered a record one-day death toll of 864 in the past 24 hours.
Spain is second only to Italy (12,000-plus) in the total number of deaths reported ever since this pandemic broke.
