Bhubaneswar: Nayagarh district reported the first COVID-19 case on Saturday after a 40-year-old male tested for the virus.
The I&PR Department tweeted that the patient had recently returned from Surat and was kept in a government quarantine centre for 14 days.
The swab sample of the male taken during his stay at the quarantine centre has tested positive.
With this, the virus has spread to 19 out of 30 districts of the state.
