COVID-19 Tally Breaches 16K In Odisha Capital; Record 604 Recoveries, Active Cases Drop Below 5K

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally crossed 16000-mark and touched 16240 on Sunday with 395 more cases being reported in the Odisha capital in the last 24 hours.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, 116 are contacts of previous patients. The remaining 279 are local contact cases.

Among quarantine cases, nine are from Nayapalli while six are policemen.

The local contact cases include 13 from Unit 9, another 12 from Nayapalli, 11 from Khandagiri and nine from Salia Sahi.

Besides two more deaths, the city also saw a record 604 more patients recovering from the infection.

With 62 deaths and 11430 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 4735 active cases.
