Khurda: The COVID-19 tally in Khurda district crossed 1000-mark on Tuesday with 37 new cases being detected in the last 24 hours.
The district has witnessed a surge of 208 coronavirus cases in the first week of July. This is 20 per cent of the total cases (1029) reported so far.
According to the I and PR tweets, Khurda district saw the highest positive cases of 50 on July 4 followed by 37 cases on July 7, 27 on July 6, 26 on July 3 and 1, and 21 on July 6 and 2.
With seven deaths and 755 recoveries, Khurda has now 265 active cases.
