Bhubaneswar: The total COVID-19 cases in Bhubaneswar touched 1231 on Monday with overnight addition of 49 fresh cases.
Of the 49, 34 are quarantine and 14 are local contact cases.
In the quarantine cases, 29 are contacts of previous patients. A family of four from Nayapalli is also among them. The remaining five have travel history.
The 14 local contact cases have been reported from Baramunda, Ganganagar, Kharavela Nagar, AG Square area, Unit-3, BJB Nagar, Pokhariput, Nayapalli, Tankapani Road, Khandagiri and Laxmisagar.

On the other hand, 53 more patients have been cured of the infection.
With 11 deaths and 576 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 642 active cases.
