Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in the Odisha capital touched 2735 on Friday with an overnight addition of 128 new cases.
Among them, 85 are quarantine cases infected by previous positive patients and 46 are local contact cases.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 18 cases have been detected from a quarantine centre and they are all contacts of an earlier positive patient.
This apart, six more cases have been detected from Salia Sahi here. Five police personnel and four employees of a private hospital have also contacted the virus from a previous case. Another six cases have been reported from Satya Nagar, three from Ashok Nagar and as many from New Forest park. Four employees of a private hospital have also tested positive for the virus.

Among the local contact cases, seven are employees of a private hospital and three of. media house.
On the other hand, 94 more patients have been cured of the infection. Among them, 30 are from Mancheswar and nine of a private hospital. Five employees of a construction firm have also recovered.
With 15 deaths and 1433 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 1285 active cases.
