Bhubaneswar: The surge in local contact cases continued in the Odisha capital on Tuesday as the city added 342 new COVID-19 cases to its affected tally, taking it to 16933.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, 98 of the new cases, including two staffers of a private hospital and one that of a government hospital, are contacts of previous patients. The remaining 244 are local contact cases, which includes two policemen and three employees of a private hospital.

The city also saw 387 more patients recoveries from the infection.
With 64 deaths and 12288 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 4568 active cases.
