Jeypore: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha’s Koraput district breached 1000-mark and touched 1006 on Wednesday with an overnight addition of 31 new cases.
According to the district administration, one among them is a repeat case. However, it has not elaborated further on what it means.
Of the new cases, 29 are direct contacts of previous patients and 20 among them have been detected in different containment zone. One case has been reported from a quarantine centre.
The highest of 16 cases have been reported from Jeypore Municipality followed by seven from Borrigumma block.
Three more health personnel and a cop in the district have also contracted the virus.
