COVID-19 Tally In Odisha’s Malkangiri Rises To 184; Know The Details Of New Patients

Malkangiri: The COVID-19 positive cases in the south Odisha district of Malkangiri touched 184 on Monday with 14 fresh cases being reported in the last 24 hours.

Of the 14 cases, seven are close contacts of previous positive cases detected in the containment zone of Malkangiri municipality.

Three among them are other state returnees (2 from New Delhi and housed in a TMC in Kalimela block and one is a Tamil Nadu returnee of a home quarantine in Korukonda block), and another three from other hotspot districts of Odisha ( 2 from Balimela NAC area and one from Khairput block area).

The one local symptomatic case has been detected in Balimela NAC with no travel/contact history.

Active contact tracing of the 14 patients is underway, the district administration tweeted.

With 101 patients having recovered from the infection, Malkangiri now has 83 active cases.
