Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the winter session of Odisha Assembly, a schedule has been drawn up for COVID-19 test of all MLAs and their staff.
According to the Health and Family Welfare department, the RT-PCR test will be conducted on the Assembly premises from November 17 to 19. The test samples of the MLAs, their PSOs and drivers will be collected from 8.30 am to 1.30 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm on November 17 & 18 and 8.30 am to 1.30 pm on November 19.
The legislators have also been advised not to meet any people from the date of RTPCR test till end of the session.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has been asked to sanitise the Assembly premises. All the MLAs, secretariat and Assembly employees, who will be allowed inside the Assembly, will be provided with face masks and sanitiser.
The winter session will continue for 40 working days from November 20 to December 31.
