Berhampur: The Ganjam district administration has taken some preventive measures to keep COVID-19 at bay. The administration has banned entry of outsiders to the district in view of the rise in COVID-19 cases.
At an emergency meeting through video conference with block-level officials on Monday, the district collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said if any person from outside the district or state wishes to visit for any emergency then they will have to carry a COVID-19 negative report.
To check the surge in COVID-19 cases, the administration has requested people not to visit the town for the festivals like Danda Yatra, Thakurani Yatra and Chaitra Yatra.
The measures have been taken for the welfare of people to keep the coronavirus at bay, the collector added.
