Bhubaneswar: With 68 more people from 11 districts succumbing to the COVID-19 infections, the toll in Odisha soared to 5445.
The Health and Family Welfare Department has clarified that the list of fatalities does not reflect the deaths occurring on a particular day. Rather, it gives the details of the past deaths for which the audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as COVID-19.
While Khurda district has reported 30 deaths (including 25 in Bhubaneswar), the highest in the state, 11 casualties are from Puri followed by 8 from Angul, 7 from Mayurbhanj, 6 from Keonjhar and one each from Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Nuapada and Sundargarh districts.

5.A 67 years old male Angul District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

7.A 50 years old female of Angul District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
8.A 50 years old male of Angul District.
9.A 58 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
10.A 40 years old female of Bhubaneswar.
11.A 76 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
12.A 44 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension & Hypothyroidism.

Khurda district has so far reported 1033 deaths followed by Sundargarh (463), Ganjam (425), Puri (328), Cuttack (315), Bargarh (273), Angul (219), Mayurbhanj (200), Kalahandi (194), Balasore (180), Sambalpur (161), Rayagada (159), Nayagarh (141), Jharsuguda (139), Kendrapada (125), Dhenkanal (107) and Keonjhar (106).
