Bhubaneswar: A total of 4015 persons were registered through the Helpline number 104 and the web portal of the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Odisha government by 12 pm on Wednesday after their return from foreign countries.
This was informed by the chief spokesperson on COVID-19 Subroto Bagchi at a press briefing here.
He said out of the total foreign-returnees, 36 are now in hospital isolation while the remaining are in home isolation.
He also said that by 12 pm on Wednesday, 133 samples were sent for COVID-19 test of which 129 samples were tested negative. The reports of four samples are awaited.
Stating that no new positive case has been found, Bagchi said the health condition of the two identified patients is asymptomatic and stable.
Referring to the 55 persons who had come in contact with the COVID-19 patient, he said there has been communication with all these persons. A total of 100 monitoring teams including 10 in Bhubaneswar are now working for the purpose across the state, he added.
