Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 vaccination for health workers will be conducted at 160 session sites in Odisha, said Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Das on Sunday.
He said while the vaccination programme will begin across the country from January 16, there is no information about the number and the date of arrival of vaccines to Odisha. Detailed information will be known after a meeting between the Prime Minister and Chief Ministers of different states on Monday.
“Once we get the exact number of vaccines to be sent to Odisha, we will upload the same number of health workers on our official portal for the vaccination.
Talking about the arrangements for the vaccination, Director, Health and Family Welfare Bijay Panigrahi said the vaccination will be conducted in all government and private hospitals, Community Health Centres (CHCs) and Primary Health Centres (PHCs). In each centre, 100 health works will be vaccinated.
He also said as there is adequate stock of medical equipment, there will be no problem in the vaccination.
