COVID 2.0: Religious Institutions, Parks & Beaches Shut For Public In This Odisha District
Berhampur: To contain COVID-19 spread, the Ganjam administration has decided to shut the doors of all religious places for devotees from April 24 to May 15.
The usual rituals in temples, mosques, gurudwaras and churches will be allowed with a limited number of priests and staff in accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines.
“Religious institutions, parks, beaches, playgrounds and lakes in the district will remain closed for public from April 22 to May 15,” Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange tweeted.
He advised against any congregation at these places, which have the potential for COVID 19 transmission.

Similar orders on religious institutions were enforced in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack from Wednesday.
