Bhubaneswar: More than 5.7 lakh beneficiaries — 2,09,650 beneficiaries in the first phase and 3,64,495 beneficiaries in the second phase — have been deprived of COVID assistance in Odisha.
This was informed by Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak in the Assembly on Wednesday while replying to a question raised by Khandapada BJD MLA Soumya Ranjan Patnaik.
“Total number of ration cardholders in Odisha was 95,51,694 during FY 2019-20 and it is 95,85,766 now. Out of the total number, 93,42,044 families were provided with COVID assistance in the first phase and 92,21,271 families in the second phase,” Nayak said.
