Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload in Odisha remained below 500 for the fifth consecutive day on Tuesday as 433 more people, including 64 in the 0-18 years age group, tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen 425 new cases on Monday, 447 new cases on Sunday, 441 on Saturday, 467 on Friday, and 524 on Thursday.
According to the I & PR department, 252 of the new infections are from quarantine and 81 local contacts. Khurda district reported the highest 207 cases, followed by Cuttack (36) and Sambalpur (17). Seven districts saw nil cases.

With these cases being detected from 61,935 samples, the test positivity rate stood at 0.69 per cent.
While the COVID-19 tally has touched 1039269, Odisha now has 4623 active cases. Khurda continues to be in yellow zone with 2252 active cases.
