Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload in Odisha remained below 500 for the fourth consecutive day on Monday as 425 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen 447 new cases on Sunday, 441 on Saturday, 467 on Friday, and 524 on Thursday.
Among them, 71 cases (16.70 per cent) are below the age of 18 years.
While 249 are from quarantine, 176 are local contact cases. Khurda district with 211 infections accounted for almost 50 per cent of the daily count. Cuttack saw 40 new cases. Seven districts reported nil cases, the I & PR department tweeted.

With these cases detected from 64, 709 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.65 per cent.
While the COVID-19 tally has touched 1038836, Odisha now has 4,554 active cases.
