COVID Cases Drop Below 300 In Odisha, Death Toll In 4th Wave Rises To 26
Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported a drop in daily COVID caseload on Tuesday with 255 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 381 the previous day.
According to the I & PR department, 149 cases are from quarantine and 106 local contacts. Among them, 43 are in the age group of 0-18 years.

Besides, 13 are from the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 12,771 samples, the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) stood at 1.99%. Odisha now has 3,462 active cases.
The state has confirmed three more deaths due to COVID after the audit process in the last three days, taking the toll in the fourth wave to 26.
The Health Department identified the deceased on Tuesday as a 60-year-old man from Rayagada who was also suffering from chronic kidney disease, cerebro vascular accident and congestive cardiac failure.
A 55-year-old woman who was also suffering from diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease and a 24-year-old woman who was also suffering from hypothyroidism, hypertension, and seizure disorder succumbed on Monday and Sunday respectively. Both the deceased women were residents of Rayagada district.
