Bhubaneswar: The present trend of coronavirus cases will continue in the country, witnessing a peak in June. But it will start declining after that, according to Dr Randeep Guleria, Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
Stating that the lockdown had helped keep the affected cases less than other countries, Dr. Guleria said number will peak in June in India.
Though he could not predict how long the outbreak will continue, he said, “Once a disease hits the peak, it has to come down.”
Assigning the cause of sudden rise in the cases to increasing number of tests, Dr. Guleria said fortunately, the cases have now got restricted to some areas and clusters.
