COVID Claims 3 Members Of Odisha MP’s Family In 12 Days

Bhubaneswar: The second wave of coronavirus continues to claim lives, destroying families. COVID-19 claimed the life of eminent sculptor Raghunath Mohapatra and his two sons in less than two weeks.

Jashobanta Mohapatra, eldest son of the eminent sculptor, succumbed to COVID-19 at SUM COVID Hospital on Thursday. He was shifted to the hospital from AIIMS on Wednesday. Jashobanta was 52.

His death comes a day after his younger brother Prasanta, former captain of Odisha Ranji Trophy cricket team, died of the infection at AIIMS.

Their father and Rajya Sabha member too lost his battle with the deadly virus on May 9 while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
