Bhubaneswar: Five days after reporting 60 to 90 new cases, the daily count in Odisha breached the 100-mark on Thursday with 105 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen 80, 78, 68, 86 and 83 cases on Wednesday, Tuesday, Monday, Sunday and Saturday, respectively.
According to the I & PR department, 64 of the new infections are from quarantine and 41 local contacts. Among them, 22 are below 18 years of age. Ganjam registered the highest of 32 cases followed by 17 from Sundargarh. While no new cases were reported from 11 districts, the remaining 17 districts reported cases in single digit.

With these cases being detected from 46,557 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.22 per cent against 0.17 per cent the previous day.
Odisha now has 743 active cases.
