Berhampur: The Ganjam administration on Monday announced shutdown in Notified Area Council (NAC) area of Chhatrapur for seven days to contain the spread of COVID-19.
District collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said that the shutdown will remain in force from June 30 to July 6.
“The decision was taken after local contact case and nine active contact cases were reported from Chhatrapur NAC. During the shutdown, active surveillance will be carried in the area,” he added.

The collector further said that all government and non-government offices and trading establishments will remain closed during this period. However, emergency services like health and milk supply will continue as before.
