Bhubaneswar: With cases spiralling in Odisha, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday declared 17 more micro-containment zones to check the spread of the virus.
Eleven among them are in the SE zone of BMC:
>> Plot No. 1087, Dakabangala Square, Old Town
>> Plot No. 722/738, Taru Apartment, Tankapani Road
>> Plot No. MB-32, Badagada Brit Colony
>> Flat No. 401, Block D, Utkal Villa, Acharya Vihar
>> Flat No. 301, Block D, Utkal Villa, Acharya Vihar
>> Flat no.301, Block B, Utkal Villa, Acharya Vihar
>> Plot No. 1149, Near Krushna Kunj Apartment, Unit-9
>> Plot No. 2762, Near HP Gas, behind Brahmeswar Temple
>> Flat No. 301, Madhabani Enclave, Nuagaon
>> Plot No. 3889/2, Near Brahmeswar Haat, Tankapani Road
>> Plot No. 246, Prahallad Residency, Lewis Road
Another 6 containment zones in South-West Zone of BMC:
>> Flat No.601, Tower-1, Vipul Garden, Kalinga Nagar, Cases-4
>> Annapurna Finance, Khandagiri Bari, Cases-7
>> Plot No. MIG-78, Pokhariput, BDA Colony, Cases-3
>> Plot No. B-22, Siddhi Vihar, Jagamara, Cases-4
>> Flat No. J-214, Galaxy Residency, Kalinga Nagar, Cases-4
>> Plot No. 23, Surya Nagar, Near Governer House, Cases- 5
On Friday, the BMC had declared 11 micro-containment zones. Earlier, similar restrictions were imposed on 19 areas, including XIMB quarters, to check the spread of the infection.
The civic body had banned the entry of the public into the containment zones. The inhabitants of the containment zones have been advised to stay indoors. Shopping establishments, government and private institutions located within the boundary of the containment zone will also be closed immediately.
The corporation would supply essentials and medicines in the containment zones, it added.
