COVID Spike: Schools In Bhubaneswar Ask Teachers, Students With Cold, Fever To Avoid Classes

Bhubaneswar: Schools in Odisha’s capital have asked teachers and students suffering from cold, cough and fever to avoid coming to school till they have recovered.

With Odisha registering a sharp jump in COVID-19 cases, schools have asked parents to ensure that their children come to school wearing masks and use sanitisers frequently.

After reporting over 200 daily cases, Odisha reported 346 COVID cases on Sunday. According to reports, many teachers have contracted the virus.

Many schools have started using thermal scanners and senior teachers have been asked to inspect classrooms to ensure they have been sanitised.

But schools admit that it is difficult to maintain social distancing in classrooms with the present student strength.
