Bhubaneswar: In view of the spread of COVID-19 in its campus, the authorities of the Central University in Koraput have closed the institution for seven days.
All the offices, library and laboratories of the Central University will remain closed for 7 days from January 13. But, online classes will continue, said Dr Phagunath Bhoi, Public Relations Officer of the university.
All teaching and non-teaching staff have been directed to carry out the official work from their homes.
The vice-chancellor in charge of the university, Prof SK Palita requested all employees and faculty members not to panic and strictly follow the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour.
Employees with symptoms of COVID-19 have been advised to get tested.
