Bhubaneswar: Concerned over the alarming COVID-19 situation in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has convened an all-party meeting on May 17 for a thorough review of the pandemic situation.
Informing the media on Friday, Odisha Assembly Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro said the all-party meeting scheduled at 5.30 pm at the Assembly conference hall will be held in virtual mode.
“Arrangements have been made for video conferencing for all the MLAs at the Assembly conference hall. In case any MLA fails to attend the meeting there, he/she can participate in the meeting at his/her respective district headquarters or at the home constituency,” he added.
The Speaker further said the MLAs during the meeting can discuss the pandemic situation in their respective constituencies, health care facilities, availability and shortage of oxygen. Apart from this, they will also give feedback for effective management to contain the spread of the virus.
