Balasore: The COVID-19 tally in Balasore district rose to 466 on Wednesday with 26 fresh cases being reported in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 11 were reported from quarantine centres and 15 were local contacts.
The Balasore district administration informed that all the new cases in the quarantine centres had travel history from outside Odisha. These included 2 returnees from Gujurat, 2 from Telangana, 2 from Maharashtra, 2 from Tamil Nadu, and 1 each from Delhi, Goa and West Bengal.
Besides, 10 of the 15 local contact cases were reported from containment zones, the district administration said, adding that it has started contact tracing of the patients.
