Phulbani: With 20 new cases, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Kandhamal district rose to 698 on Wednesday. Out of the 20 new cases, 13 are local contacts.
Among the 20 cases, 12 are from Daringbadi block, 3 from Tumudibandh block, 2 each from G Udayagiri and Chakapada blocks and 1 from K Nuagan block.
With 2 deaths and 400 recoveries, Kandhamal district has 296 actives cases.
