Bhubaneswar: The vaccination drive for the 18+ age group resumed after a gap of five days here on Monday.
Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) sources said that the civic body will go ahead with the existing stock for the vaccination of both 18-44 and 45+ age groups.
The government is expecting a consignment with 26,000 Covaxin doses under the state procurement for the 18-44 age group.

Besides providing walk-in facilities for the second dose of the vaccine for the age group, the BMC will be carrying out a drive-in vaccination from June 7 to 12. The civic body has accordingly opened slots for booking in all the seven drive-in centres.

About 1.7 lakh beneficiaries in the 18-44 age group have already taken their first jab and are waiting for their second dose.

A special 3-day drive for inoculating journalists, who have been declared COVID warriors, is also being conducted in the city.
