Covishield Norms Relaxed For Foreign-Bound Students From Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: Students travelling abroad from Odisha will be inoculated with Covishield, the vaccine approved by WHO.
The two doses will be administered at a gap of 28 days instead of the mandated minimum interval of 84 days. The Health Ministry has relaxed the norms following requests from different quarters.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has made special arrangements for the same. It has started a special walk-in vaccination drive for students, who have received confirmation of admission to universities abroad.
They can get it at P N College, Khurda, or CMC Kalyan Mandap, Gopalpur, Cuttack, from 10 am to 2 pm from Monday to Friday (except on public holidays).
The beneficiaries are required to carry verified confirmation letter from foreign universities and Aadhaar card or any other ID proof to the vaccination centre.
