Berhampur: The curtains came down on the five-day Gopalpur Beach Festival amidst much fanfare here on Wednesday.
Bollywood singer Javed Ali was the star performer on the final day as the audience lapped up the popular numbers that he belted out in unique style.
Odissi performances by Kala Bikas Kendra Chatrapur, Prasannakshee, Anweshaw Kala Kendra Berhampur, modern dance by Killer Beats Academy, Hip-Hop by Rock Star Dance Academy Berhampur, Lalita Cultural academy Berhampur, folk dance by Pragyan Sangeet and Nrutayana Kendra Bhanjanagar also touched the hearts of the audience.
Just as captivating were Veerabadya by artists of Gajapati district, Kuchipudi by Sivasri Natya Kala Niketan Srikakulam (Andhra Pradesh), Purulia Chhau by Binapani Rupchand Group (West Bengal).
Dignitaries who graced the final day included Khallikote MLA Suryamani Baidya, Berhampur MLA Bikram Panda, Berhampur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu, Chairman Executive Committee Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathana Upendra Tripathy, Member State Planning Board Ramesh Chandra Chau Patnaik and state minister for Forest & Environment Pradeep Kumar Amat.
