Cuttack: Elaborate arrangements are being made for the historic Bali Jatra scheduled to be held here from November 23 to 29.
A preparatory meeting, chaired by Cuttack collector Aravind Agrawal, was held on Friday.
According to official sources, the collector has instructed the departments concerned to complete all pending works before time.
The meeting also decided on some new measures to attract the people to the annual extravaganza.
“Proper coordination between the officers of different departments is a must for the smooth conduct of festival. The details on preparations’ works have been distributed among the officers. We are planning to introduce new things in the festival and waiting for the direction of NGT to execute them,” said Agrawal.
Officers of different departments and CMC Mayor were present, among others.
Notably, Bali Jatra has gained huge response recently as tourists from far and wide gather here to witness the rich culture and tradition of Odisha.
