Cuttack Mayor Election: Who Is Richest of BJD, BJP, Cong Candidates? Know Their Properties’ Value
Cuttack: In terms of richness, BJD candidate comes first, followed by Congress and BJP in the election to mayor post of Cuttack city.
As per the declaration of assets submitted with nomination papers for the election, ruling BJD’s candidate Subash Singh has announced to have properties worth more than Rs 5 crore, while Congress nominee Giribala Behera has less than Rs 2 crore and BJP’s Sritam Das has declared to have less than Rs 1 crore properties.
Subash has bank deposits, insurance cover and investment bonds worth around Rs 76,76,689 and immovable properties of around Rs 77,1,996, as per his declaration. His wife’s bank balance, insurance cover and investment bonds is valued at Rs 4,58,54,599.
Similarly, Giribala has bank deposits, insurance cover and investment bonds worth Rs 20,50,000 and immovable assets of Rs 75,00,000. Her husband is in possession of assets worth Rs 95,00,000.
BJP’s Sritam has declared to have bank deposits, insurance cover and investment bonds worth Rs 33,66,000 and immovable properties worth Rs 41,90,000. His wife has bank deposits, insurance cover and investment bonds worth Rs 13, 68,000 and properties of Rs 4,85,000.
As per the notification of the State Election Commission (SEC), elections to 106 urban local bodies (ULBs) and three municipal corporations of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Berhampur will be held on March 24 and results declared after counting of votes on March 26.
